Exciting New Art Exhibit in San Diego on April 8

Art Exhibition to Benefit the San Diego Human Dignity Foundation
One of San Diego’s newest indoor/outdoor lounge hotspots, The White Buddha Lounge at Hillcrest’s Saigon on Fifth restaurant, is hosting the initial exhibition of San Diego artist William E Kelly.
The opening reception on Friday, April 8 from 6:30-9:30PM features a meet and greet with the artist.
In describing the vastly different styles of his artwork, from Impressionist to Modernist to Abstract, Mr. Kelly states “Wikipedia defines art “…as the process or product of deliberately arranging elements in a way to affect the senses or emotions.”
We have an innate need to create what is essential to our spiritual and physical survival.  These works represent my interpretations of space, shapes and colors through a medium of computer and digitization technologies.
This opportunity will help me fulfill my dream of marketing my expansive but never before released collection of original artworks to benefit local charities. ” For a preview of a portion of the artwork for the exhibit, visit the White Buddha Lounge page on
The White Buddha Lounge has waived all commission fees, and 30% of all profits generated from the sale of the artwork will be donated to a fund managed by the San Diego Human Dignity Foundation (  The SDHDF, founded in 1996, is committed to working with the community to improve the quality of life in San Diego’s LGBT community by promoting responsible philanthropy to enact positive social change.

The artwork will be on display for the month of April with an opening reception from 6:30-9:30 PM on Friday, April 8 featuring complimentary passed Hors D’Oevures and House Specialty drink teasers along with Happy Hour pricing throughout the evening.
There is complimentary 2 hr validated parking at the Union Bank underground lot on Fifth Avenue with any purchase and a suggested $5.00 donation at the door to the Foundation.
The White Buddha Lounge at Saigon on Fifth is located at 3900 Fifth Avenue.  The entrance to both the restaurant and the lounge is on University Avenue just under the Hillcrest neon sign.
